My Charm Pack Cherry Quilt

Hey! I’m really happy to share my Charm Pack Cherry quilt. This is a free pattern that was released by Fat Quarter Shop. You can find the pdf version of the pattern here, and if you need a little extra help, there is also a step-by-step video on how to make the quilt, and that’s embedded below (just hit play!).

I made my quilt using two Bella Silver charm packs, a Color Me Happy charm pack, and some coordinating bright solids. This quilt was a gift for my mother’s birthday.

The quilt came together SUPER fast. If you have never made a quilt before, this is an excellent way to get your feet wet. Since the pattern takes pre-cut 5″ squares called a charm pack, there is no fuss involved, and you can get straight down to the sewing! All of the instructions in the pattern are very clear and followed by easy-to-follow color diagrams. This is a great evening project to get the quilt top done, and the next day you can be machine quilting and binding! I just use straight quilting to the left of all my squares. Fast and easy.

This pattern would also be great for a charity quilt, as it has a playful look to it. I’m sure the quilters all have spare charm packs lying around, right? With a bit of sewing, you can have a big stack like this!!

To celebrate the official release of the pattern, Fat Quarter Shop is having a special Charm Pack Sale. From now until Sunday, March 2nd at midnight, all charm packs are marked down 20%! Grab ’em while they’re hot!

Amazing! Ive just made the front for another quilt using the same fabric by Moda! Didn’t think to put the grey into the mix but that might just become the backing now I think! I used the layer cake and jelly roll of the V and C fabric release! Guess we all have fantastic taste!
    Cheers

Very nice. I’m loving all the versions of this pattern that I’m seeing. Now I need to decide which charms to use to make my own version.
