Camp Stitchalot Drift Bag

Hello! I taught at Camp Stitchalot in Michigan this past weekend. It was a total blast. Camp Stitchalot is held at a bed and breakfast. The campers stay in a renovated barn, and when you wake up in the morning, you can just come right downstairs and start sewing! I’m kind of a picky eater, and I found all of the food very enjoyable as well (especially the desserts).

This was my class sample, as I appropriately taught the Camp Stitchalot Bag. I made this bag using Drift by Angela Walters, which is out in shops now. I combined several of Angela’s prints to showcase her beautiful fabrics.

There are 4 vinyl pockets on the inside of the bag, enough room for toting around all of your sewing supplies (thread, sewing patterns, rulers, rotary, etc.). There is also space for a 18″ x 12″ cutting mat in the back pocket of the bag.

Check out some of the Camp Stitchalot Bags that have been popping up in my Flickr Group lately! In addition to that, for more inspiration you can always check out the original Camp Stitchalot blog post, with all of my pattern testers’ photos.

Teaching this class was a lot of fun. Everyone picked great fabrics and paired them in different combinations for their bags!

Oh, I wish I would have seen these bags sooner. I have been searching for these kinds of handbags since last five months. When I came across these bags, they were out of stock so, I bought somewhat similar handbag from http://www.kilkennyshop.com/orlakiely.htm, which I do love the most and have received many compliments on it. It is quite comfy to carry and has big pockets to carry lots of stuffs.

  6. Thanks for showing my bag! Camp was a blast for sure, I think all the bags were so much fun 🙂
