Gina – Hey Quilters! Here we are nearing the end of the Stripes chapter. I have been having a lot of fun as usual picking out my fabrics and fussy cutting every chance I get.

Block #64 is my Potion Pedestals block. This block has a lot of Tula Pink NIghtshade in it which has been creeping in a lot around Halloween it seems. The tonal white print here is from Salt Water and is what I am considering buying for my Gridlock sashing and or backing fabric. It is unfortunately already hard to find in high quantities so I am starting to consider a plan B. I am reluctant to use a solid white.
Block #65 is my Dancing Stripes block. I have been using this Lazy Stripe print from Birds and Bees in a lot of blocks, but it is one of my favorite prints ever so no regrets there. I was feeling up to fussy cutting the polka dots during my last cutting marathon and I am glad that I did. I really like seeing the centered little dots there.
Block #66 is my Bubble Bars block. I have really been on a polka dot kick lately. They go with everything! I am a big fan of these grey Kei japanese dots that I got from Pink Castle fabrics. The navy dots are a thicker Kokka cotton print. I have been so used to using the thin shot cottons that jumping to this thicker cotton blend it feels really bulky to have all these seams, but I was after those polka dots.
Looking forward to seeing all of your blocks this week!
Gina
