Quilt Market – Pellon

Well hello there good lookin’! lol, this is me at the Pellon booth. In case you didn’t know, Pellon only makes the best interfacing and batting (Nature’s Touch and Legacy) on the planet! Sorry, but I’m going to warn you right now that this is probably going to turn into a brag post. Just let me get it all out now.

See that green bag on their banner? That’s my Urban Jungle bag, which you can find on their site as a free pattern. The bag I’m holding? That’s my Caliti Convertible Clutch. Yup, it’s free. And the blue bag on the table? The Frou Frou Bag. I did not know about this until the last minute so it was a super great surprise!!

I brought home a nice Pellon batting card…did you know that Pellon made so many different kinds of batting? Did you know that they make a 100% cotton batting called Nature’s Touch that I like way better than Warm and Natural? Did you know that your local Joann Fabrics carries Pellon battings? And that they’re a bit cheaper than some of the Warm products?

No? Well, now ya know. 😉

Stay tuned next week, because I will have a FABULOUS (if I do say so myself) blog post all about bag interfacings…around 7 or 8 different kinds that I use on a regular basis. I will try not to turn this post into a novel, as I do love interfacing so (it makes up 25% of my stash, that’s how much I love it). This post will be part of Purse Palooza 2012. If you haven’t heard yet, you should…giveaways every day for the month of June and tons of guest blogger purse reviews! You can’t miss it!

Thanks for all these posts about the Quilt Market. And congratulations on your exposure not only in the Pellon booth but everywhere you went with your dresses. You are like a live mannequin!Oh, and I found some answers for my bag interfacing issues but I’m looking foward to read your post about it.

Congratulations Sara! I’m new to your blog and I’m do happy your clutch and bag was featured in the Pellon booth! You did an amazing job on both and that’s actually how I came to be your follower, found your patterns/tutorials on their site.

  9. Hey, Sara, I’m SOOO excited you are going to do a series on interfacing. Would you believe I worked in a quilt shop and am totally intimidated by interfacing? Just the words “fusible” or “medium weight woven” make me break out into a cold sweat. So you will be helping me get over my phobia, right? I sure hope so!

Oh, and super cool on seeing your bags at market! I can’t believe I didn’t take a picture of you in your uber-cool typewriter dress with the polka dot waistband. LOVED it!
