Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying the middle of summer! I just wanted to pop in and showcase a few readers that have made bags using one of my free tutorials!
Barbara made this great citron patchwork bag using the Fylerion Bag video and tutorial. She adapted the pattern to fit her needs and made a larger flap for it! What a great idea and it looks perfect!!
Kimi from eat.geek.sew made my Red Poppy Bag pattern. I think she said it was her first bag. Kimi, you have skills!!! Honestly, when I see a bag that someone has made from one of my free patterns, I literally could just about cry. I actually feel the tears pricking the backs of my eyes.
And Felicia made this awesome bag with the polka dot black poppy…I think it is extremely striking! I think the ruffles look particularly great on this one!!
The rest of the bags in this post were made by Kim Munoz. Kim is one of my friends on Facebook, and has tested bags for me that I had in a couple of magazines. She has made a lot of bags for herself and as gifts!

I am always happy to help if you are working on one of my bags (or, if I have made a project from someone else’s pattern, for that matter!). Feel free to e-mail me at any time at [email protected]. 🙂
Wow, Sara, they’re all amazing. You must be so excited.
gorgeous bags!
Do you know that your blog appears huge on my screen and I can’t really watch it anymore. All other blogs are ok. I use Chrome. It works ok on Firefox.
I spotted another one this week! http://www.knotted-thread.com/2012/07/what-do-you-mean-im-moving.html
Nice! When I see them I want to make some too 🙂
These are all so cute. Maybe I can take the plunge now! I’ve been allergic to bag making up until this point!
Thanks for featuring my bag! Yep it was my first bag, and of course like a madwoman I jumped in at the deep end but loved the way it turned out. 🙂
I love all of them, but I especially love the Fylerion bag – I pinned it when it first came out, and NEED to do it 🙂 I thought I would use one of the FQ bundles I’ve picked up during a “head to the States and hit multiple Joanns” run 😀
Great collection there girls :o)
That’s a whole pool of naughty secretaries!
They are some great looking bags there! =D
All the bags are wonderful ~ looking forward to the Conversation Bag tutorial!
The bags all look great. I have to make one one your tutorials soon. So many things to do!
They all look great but I really love Barbara’s bag the colours are gorgeous.
Thanks for the comment about my bag. I love it, and carry it every day. I also modified the interior with pockets to fit the stuff I need to carry. Thanks to Sara for the great pattern, and for featuring my version on her blog.
