I was given the great pleasure to be asked to participate in the STITCHED online video workshops. This is a sewing series in which 20 different fabric artists produced sewing patterns and step-by-step videos on how to make their project.
I wrote the pattern for the Fylerion Bag, which is pictured above. I made an Alice in Wonderland bag while I was writing the pattern, and made a second version in Echino fabrics for while I was making my video. Let me tell you, it was quite a challenge shooting a video on how to make a sewing pattern! My husband and I worked on the video for 2 hours, and ended up with a 30 minute video. I would definitely like to make all my tutorials as videos in future!
The bag features a magnetic strap and inner pockets. There are several ways to customize your bag with pretty fabrics (such as a patchwork version!!).

WHAT IS STITCHED?
STITCHED is a collection of 20 online video workshops by 20 talented fabric artists.
Each workshop provides you with high value and high content information
to get you sewing, designing and creating 20 unique fabric art and sewing projects.
How is STITCHED set up:
By registering for STITCHED you have access to all the STITCHED workshops all at one time. You are able to pick and choose which ones you want to dive into first. The workshops are available to you any time you wish, until STITCHED closes on June 1, 2012 10pm EST.
Once you are invited to the private STITCHED site, you are free to view and work on any workshop you want any time of the day, any day of the week. The workshops are designed so that you can watch and easily create the project. The workshops are self-guided and you can take it at the pace that you want. If you have any questions, you can post it in the STITCHED site, and the instructor will help you. It is that simple.
What do I get as a STITCHED student?
-As a STITCHED student, you have access to all the STITCHED video workshops.
The workshops have been designed and created by the talented cast of STITCHED instructors.
Each workshop includes a pdf file which you can print and keep for future reference.
Each PDF file contains information about each workshop, including a pattern (if applicable).
-In addition to the 20 workshops, you will also have access to a video workshop by Alma Stoller called Beaded Fabric Jewelry and 5 additional mini video workshops.
-STITCHED has received the support of several sewing, quilting and craft companies.
They have provided me with a wonderful assortment of sewing items.
Within the STITCHED site, we will host giveaways for all STITCHED students….from sewing machines, fabric packages, sewing and embroidery notions,…..just to name a few.

Early registration starts December 1st 2011. STITCHED workshops will open on January 1st 2012
STITCHED is hosted in a private online site. Once you register, you will get an email confirmation. On January 1st, you will receive an invitation to the private STITCHED site.
