Sign-ups: Echino 10-Square Swap

Today is the official start of sign-ups for the Echino 10-Square Swap! Please read through all rules first, then click the link at the bottom to sign up!

This swap is now closed.

Rules

1. First come, first served. This swap is limited to 28 spots. Internationals welcome!

2. Echino fabric only. Each person will choose 1 Echino fabric and purchase that print in a 2-yard piece. There is a generous 20% discount on that 2-yard piece through Mountain of the Dragon on Etsy (just let Monica, the shop owner, know which fabric you want, and that you are participating in this swap).

3. Post your fabric to my Flickr group so no one orders the same fabric.

4. Majority of those who commented previously told me that they would like to choose their fabric from Mountain of the Dragon, have the fabric sent to me, and have me cut it. This will save out on several shipping fees. If this is you, these are the details for that:

             a. Payment to me will be due by September 13, 2011 so that I can place one large order. Your payment will include the cost of the fabric ($28.80 for 2 yards), shipping to me ($1 per person), cutting fee ($2 per person), Paypal fee (2.9% plus .30), then cost for me to ship all the cut squares to you ($4.95 US / $11.35 CAN / $13.25 All Others). I will be sending individual invoices out if you choose this option.

            b. Please still post to the Flickr group so that I will know what fabric to order you. Just put your full name in the photo details so I’ll know whose is whose.

            c. That’s it! All you have to do is sit back and wait for your cut squares of fabrics to arrive in the mail!

5. If you don’t wish to do Option #4, then please have your 2-yards of fabric in my hands by September 30, 2011. You will be cutting the fabric into 28 squares that are each 10″ x 10″. You will send the fabric, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope with enough postage to cover return of the fabric to you. I will contact you personally with my address and exact details.

I signed up! Just happened to be right here I guess when you posted this. Question: if we choose option 4 (yes please!), do we let the shop owner know to set aside 2 yards, or just let you know which one we’d like to choose?

i also have a question- will you contact the first 28 to let them know they are part of the swap? thanks

  3. Oooh, I’m excited! I just signed up, but my phone number wouldn’t work so I put my parents in the states in instead. Thank you for allowing internationals to participate!

  4. I am practicing some restraint right now, even though I really want to sign up! Saving up for a new camera. BUT, if you end up with 27, let me know… 🙂

I just signed up as well and am using Option 4.
I don’t really care which fabric I choose since there will be so many unique ones with no repeats. If it is just as easy, would you maybe consider choosing from what is left after the non-option 4 people choose? If not, I’ll choose one-I don’t want to cause you additional work. I just thought I’d throw it out there.
Thanks so much for organizing this-I am soooooo excited!

I have just submitted my form, am so excited! The form doesn’t seem to recognize international phone numbers though, it kept telling memo number (home, and mobile) weren’t valid so I have entered a made up number 🙂 if you need my real one please email me…

I signed up! I am going for option #4, and I know you mentioned sending an invoice. Do you need my email to do that? Let me know if you run into any trouble.

Woo Hoo, I just signed up, I sure hope that I get in! I am so glad that you guys picked Mountain of the Dragon, I have ordered from her several times and she is a DOLL!

I want to sign up but I am confused. If there are 28 people, won’t we get 28 squares (unless I am reading that wrong.)

I am thinking about this but wanted to make one comment..

The 2.9% Paypal fee could be done away with if everyone would click on the 2nd box in the Paypal system and mark the money as a gift. Then no fees are supposed to be taken from the money when it is transferred.

Comments make my day and I love to reply!
